In his words
I'm Sam Eynon, an eighteen-year-old scratch amateur from Bedfordshire. My home club is Dunstable Downs and I play county golf for Bedfordshire.
Since October 2024 I've taken my handicap from six to 0.5, shot a 66 at Lindfield Golf Club, four under, and tied third in the WAGR Invitational at Lindfield with rounds of 73, 72 and 68 for three over.
In July 2026 I won The Golf College Summer Cup, which put me on the world amateur ranking. In August I made my debut for the Bedfordshire Challenge team against Essex at Dunstable Downs. Vikram Singh and I won our foursomes 4&3. I lost the singles 3&2 and Essex took the match. That is county golf.
Now I'm moving onto the degree programme with The Golf College at East Sussex National, from September 2026 to March 2029. The next few years are about playing in stronger fields and testing my game against better players. Keep pushing forward, and if I get myself to the right level, earn the chance to turn professional.
